👉 The Company recognises the role working from home may have in assisting employees balance the demands of work with family or other personal responsibilities.
</aside>
Employees may only work at home with prior authorisation from their manager and only
at times that have been approved, or where otherwise required by law.
Employees who wish to work from home on agreed days should discuss the matter with
their manager in the first instance and if given permission to work at home, must:
- work with the Company to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure
your safety when working at home;
- comply with all directions given by their manager; and
- comply with this policy and any other workplace policies.
If employees have any questions about this policy, they should contact @James Cooke .
Being green 🌱 while working virtually
Where possible, Hello Human encourages all employees and contractors to make sustainable decisions while working virtually, whether thats at home, away or in our shared space at WeWork
To contribute to reducing the impact on our earth and its resources we encourage you to:
- Consider turning off your camera during video conferences (where possible) This is shown to potentially reduce environmental impact of the call by up to 96%
- Change video resolution settings to reduce energy consumption - Taking video calls in standard definition rather than high definition may result in an 86% reduction
- Lower your screen’s brightness - even reducing brightness from 100% to 70% can save up to 20% of monitor energy usage
- Turn off your devices at the end of the day and unplug
- If you’re hitting the tunes on Spotify consider choosing a slightly lower audio quality level in your settings to reduce energy consumption
